Uncharted movie mentioned

To prove that the current world wide recession is not really having an effect on the entertainment industry Columbia Pictures has announced that they are set to begin shooting of a big screen version of Naughty Dog's game Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

According to Hollywood sources the movie studio is gathering an impressive group of professionals to put the movie together. These include producer Alex Gartner who worked on Get Smart. Charles Roven is another producer who helped pen The Dark Knight. Avi Arad is the well known producer who worked on Iron Man and other Marvel productions and they have the writer Kyle Ward who wrote the Kane and Lynch movie.

Despite the fact that video game to movie crossovers usually do horrible at the box office and are burned at the stake by critics we are still seeing many decent computer games being made into movies. These include God of War and Gears to name but a few.
