Latest Mortal Kombat game designed to make you sick
According to the creator of soon-to-be Mortal Kombat, people are looking for a “sick” game that will struggle to pass the censors amid bloodied torn clothes severed limbs and GBH crimes to beat the band.
After the success of the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, where the violence was toned down for the superhero gamers, the series is not set to return to the extreme violence that has set it apart from other fighting games. Series co-creator Ed Boon has said that while fans gave the last game the thumbs up they were clamouring for the blood and guts of the earlier games.
On his Twitter Boon spoke of the ninth Mortal Kombat game. He said that motion-capturing special moves and fatalities today were as popular as ever and kind of sick.
"People want an M-rated MK... dammit we will give them an M-rated MK," his Twitter rant continued, adding, "I don’t know where the line is to make MK an AO rated game, but we definitely don’t want to kross [sic] it."
Rumours of the Mortal Kombat license being sold off were also laid to rest with the co-creator staying on for the series.
