Battlefield: Bad Company lives, dies, lives

You see, I was gaming with a friend on the other side of the world when my power died in my house, so I went and read a book. When it came back, all my stats were gone. A few mails later and we realised it was a global issue, not just me.
What happened was the removal of the entire global leaderboard, the removal of all awards earned in game, deletion of unlocked weapons - quite a serious event then.
However, no messages were run on the game page, nor were any announcements made. Players had to sit it out. Next time, EA (and we're sure there will be a next time), take the time to treat your customers like customers and keep them informed.

That's a shame. No playing with us then either.
I'm playing it on PS3. No ranking systems for me then.
You don't need to be ranked 5,000 in the world to be called super :P
It's a very enjoyable game though, you should consider it. I'll have a review up tonight or tomorrow, once I've stopped shaking about having my stats erased. I'm ranked in the top 5000 in the world. How super am I? Hoorah.
I'm glad I don't have this game!
