PC Mass Effect requires continual activation

Because legitimate consumers have to drag the weight of pirates, the PC version of Mass Effect will use the same SecuROM online activation system as Bioshock.

As a result players can only activate their copy of Mass Effect three times before being forced to ring a helpline to get it to work again. But what\'s worse, the game will force itself to contact activation servers to re-authenticate itself every ten days, which means should you go too long without playing when connected to the internet the game will end up unplayable.

Mass Effect is set to arrive on the PC 28th.
