Gaming political party announced
A revolution of gamers is underway in South Australia, with the new political party Gamers4Croydon announcing a candidate for election, with the specific goal of taking down the biggest obstacle to the introduction of an 18 rating for games in Australia, South Australian Attorney General Michael Atkinson.
The candidate who will take on Atkinson is Kat Nicholson, who will be running for House of Assembly. She is described as having a lifelong love of both gaming and politics, and is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Journalism at the University of South Australia.
She will need at least 13,000 votes to usurp Atkinson in Croydon. She also strongly believes that Parents should be trusted to raise their own children with the proper video game supervision, and not the government.
Chris Prior, the President of Gamers4Croydon, will serve as the group’s candidate for Legislative Council. He believes strongly in adult civil liberties, self determination and accountability in government.

I concur with Keith's comment.
Lachlan, time to strap on a cape and take to the soapbox? If I could vote, I'd vote for you.
Gamers should be reaching out to the other people Atkinson has pissed off. There's plenty of reason to hate the guy, but most of the opposition is coming from single-issue groups like the gamers and bikies opposed to the anti-association laws. They need to get a coalition happening.
